Events in September

August is always fantastic for events - but September is promising to be just as lively in Leeds. Here are our picks of the best creative events in our city this month...

Ladies Wine and Design at Sheaf Street Cafeteria

Thursday 14th September
A brand new event to Leeds, and one we're very excited about! The aim of this event is to inspire, encourage and bring together women within the design industry. It's sure to be a friendly gathering, and one that will gain quite a following, so make sure you head along to the very first event!

The One Who Looks launch at Colours May Vary

Friday 22nd September
This exhibition focuses on the art of the riso print - it's been curated by Yuck, who focus purely on this print process and have an eye for talent. The work includes pieces from Jonathan Calugi, Loic Movellen and Jason Murphy. Join the evening launch party of the 5-week exhibition at the ever-awesome Munro House venue.

Glug Leeds at Duke Studios

Thursday 28th September
Another edition of the local-but-global event that is Glug! This month, the talks are based around 'what I wish I'd known at 18' - so it's sure to be insightful, valuable, and probably quite funny. Join the great speakers and friendly crowd at Duke Studios towards the end of the month.

Fettle by Sunken Studio at Colours May Vary

Friday 29th September
Roundhay-based Sunken Studio are hosting an exclusive ceramics workshop where you can create your own bangles, brooches or pendants. A workshop on a Friday night might not sound too inviting - but if you have an eye for bold colour, love jewellery, and want to spend time in one of our favourite Leeds spaces, you're going to have a great time! Just make sure you bag a ticket as it's definitely going to be popular.

Make sure you let us know which events you are heading to via Twitter, and let us know if we missed any out! In October, a lot of the bigger conferences and events tend to kick off in the creative world, so make sure to keep our diary clear and get ready to bag those Early Bird tickets if you can!
