Creative & Digital Recruiter

It’s been quite a year… one which has forced us to reflect on what’s important and make sure our business has adapted to suit our clients and our consultants. Now we’re heading into 2021 with a serious spring in our step.

At Craft we have always valued a sensible work-life balance and this year has cemented that. Putting our money where our mouth is with a four day working-week as standard for everyone and fully remote working (with monthly all-agency get togethers).

We’re a passionate and proactive bunch, now looking to add a go-getting recruiter to our lineup to head up the client services and project management side of our business.

Creative & Digital Recruiter
We are looking for a consultant, with experience in the creative or digital industry, who can help us further establish and grow our business in the North. In return, we offer a relaxed, progressive and ambitious working environment.

We need someone in this role who can talk recruitment with everyone from managing directors to account executives. Who can come in and hit the ground running, drive business across both permanent and/or freelance markets, and help us establish new relationships across the North West and Yorkshire.

You might come with an established network you can harness, or you might be relocating to the North after a stint working elsewhere in a similar recruitment role. You’ll have a sixth sense for a good opportunity and be a dab hand at converting enquiries.

We’ll give you an established client base, incoming business and all the tools you need to be successful.

Our Clients
First thing’s first: we only work with clients we want to work with.

We partner with creative agencies and studios that specialise in brand, design and digital. We carefully match them up with talented people. Our consultancy is our craft and we take great pride in high standards, working together with our clients to build amazing teams.

Positive and forward-thinking attitudes are infectious, inspiring and all-round good for business. Beyond the expected, we attend and contribute to industry events, and we love a creative collaboration or two, too.

We tend to do things a little differently to your average recruitment business. We launched our own beer, brewed in collaboration with local beer legends Northern Monk and worked with North Star Roasters on a celebratory coffee to send to clients at Christmas. (It’s our job to champion top creative talent, after all).

Our Expectations
We believe every client problem is different and it’s our job to understand ambitions before offering solutions. So as recruiters we need to be curious; happy to speak up and ask (sometimes obvious, sometimes difficult, often interesting) questions.

We’re looking to build the Craft team with somebody driven, friendly and self-motivated with a commercial mindset and a strong track record in recruitment. You should enjoy building genuine and lasting relationships, and waste no time seizing opportunities.

No hand holding or micro-managing here - you will manage your own time and workload!

Strong negotiation and communication skills go without saying.

How We Work
Everyone at Craft now works a four day week. Since we adopted a four day week we’ve seen effectiveness and job satisfaction increase across the business. Everyone’s happier and more successful… what’s not to like?

We reward results rather than hours worked, and measure success (not CVs sent), which means you're free to manage your workload and your hours in ways that suits us all.

Remote Working
As a semi-remote working business, with bases in both Leeds and Manchester, you could be based anywhere in the North of England. We have a monthly all-agency meeting in Leeds or Manchester, and we like to see our clients face-to-face when possible.

Help Us Grow
Now's a fantastic time to join us, even if we do say so ourselves. Craft is getting bigger, always getting better, and we’re looking for a like-minded ambitious type to help build on our brilliant client base and reputation. Your ideas and opinions are valuable to us, so you'll have a say in business decisions that support our ambition to become the go-to design and creative recruitment business across the north of England.
