Digital marketing, and specifically social media, has been a platform for their success from the beginning. They make a killing from MySpace back in the day, and they’ve not looked back since, continuing to optimise their brand and their products on social platforms ever since.
As a Social Media and Digital Marketing Executive, you will be part of the companies digital marketing team. The focus of this role will be to contribute to and manage the company's social media strategy, as well as producing original content for their website.
You'll help manage their content calendar, develop new strategies and campaigns, and look for new stories you can tell across a range of social channels; Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter. Community management will form a good part of your role too - interacting with customers and potential clients on a daily basis.
A quick rundown of what you’ll be doing day to day:
- Lead social media management across all platforms (planning, scheduling, posting)
- Working with paid media agency on delivery of social assets for all platforms
- Planning boosted paid content on all social platforms
- Monitoring social and competitive landscape for trends, searching for content themes people are sharing, liking, recommending and talking about on the internet.
With a strong and loyal social following already - this business are always looking for new and innovative ways to connect with their customers - most recently having success with Instagram Stories, Facebook Live and Snapchat. They want someone who has the confidence to bring new ideas to the table and who can help shape the future social strategy of the business.
Another key area of this role is content and copywriting. For instance, insightful pieces focussing on some of their more high-profile and interesting customers; leading restaurants, independent breweries, that sort of thing.
This isn’t a solely social media and content focussed role, there’s chance here to expand into other digital channels too (email, seo, ppc) and organising brand events too!
What We’re Looking For
We need somebody with a truly positive, enthusiastic attitude who will bring passion and knowledge to this marketing team. You could come from either an agency or in-house background, either way you'll have plenty of experience managing successful social campaigns and producing engaging original copy; tracking their effect and generating website traffic to introduce new customers.
Expert knowledge of Facebook, Twitter and Instagram is a must, with experience using them in a commercial environment, not just for personal use!
