Two years into our partnership with Creative Lives in Progress, it’s probably time to lift the lid on how we support emerging talent in the creative industry, through their essential platform.
Creative Lives in Progress is a free, inclusive careers resource for people starting out in the creative industries. Their mission is to transform how emerging talent accesses, understands, and connects with the creative sector. They are run as a platform supported by partner organisations including Craft, and are committed to keeping all their core resources free so that barriers to entry are minimised.
So, what do they actually do?
Advice & insights
CLIP publishes articles, interviews, and first-hand accounts from people working in creative roles. These give insight into “what it’s really like” in jobs, the path someone took, and practical tips for breaking in.
Opportunities
They maintain a hub for entry-level and junior creative roles, internships, workshops, and events. This helps connect talent to real jobs that are suitable for those early in their career.
Events & portfolio reviews
CLIP organises events that bring early-career creatives together with companies, mentors, and peers. These include portfolio reviews, networking, Q&A panels, and workshops. Again, all free of charge!
Now you mention it, we have played a role in many a portfolio review. The next one we’re involved in is open for applications – check it out. Our Lead Consultant Nat Wilson will be offering support and guidance on what makes a truly standout portfolio.

In short, CLIP acts as a bridge between emerging creatives and the industry, and we’re really proud to support their incredible work and initiatives. If you know somebody trying to break into the industry, you know where to point them!
