Another fantastic month of events to inspire and bring together creative communities across Leeds, Manchester and Sheffield. While the sun is still shining, get out there and enjoy!

Ladies of Code - Accessibility & Sketch at Sky Games and Betting

Thursday 16th August
A valuable intro into accessibility on the web. With insight from one of Sky Betting's digital team, then a hands-on masterclass with Sketch and how this prototyping tool can transform how you design. Bring along your mac to take part, or just pop along to learn the theory. 

Glug Manchester at Copper Hall, Manchester

Thursday 16th August
Set to be a visual feast of design and intriguing stories, this month's Glug invites 3 renowned creatives to tell us their stories. Spanning games design, digital strategy, animation and photography your mind will be blown by the sheer imagination and drive of Nigel Collier (Skylab digital designer), Matt Lucas (animation, designer fand co-founder of Treble studio) and Drew Forsyth (Photographer and Videographer). As ever a great night washed down with some local beers!

The Crushable Canvas at Colours May Vary

Friday 17th August
If there was something we loved more than drinking the beer it'self, it's admiring the design and labels that come with it. Come feast your eyes on some of the most delicious beer label designs from around the globe - Japan, Hungary, Switzerland and New Zealand to name a few! And of course, Northern Monk will be there to make sure your tastebuds get a tickle too. 

Leeds Soup at Dock 29

Tuesday 21st August
A first for Leeds, this micro-funding experiment is based around ideas to make your local community better. You'll see innovative ideas and a good serving of local knowledge from four budding genius's who will pitch their ideas. Vote on your favourite and who knows what we could see in the future. 

Working Differently at TBC

Thursday 23rd August
Hosted by digital design house, Lightstart, this is an open look at the perks (and disadvantages) of flexible, remote and unconventional working. From 4 days a week's, to unlimited holidays and unusual studio setups, it's about how this all works in practice. One for business owners, HR and anyone interested in alternative working for yourself.  

Monzo Meetup at Roco Creative, Sheffield

Thursday 23rd August
A fully active event, there'll be Q&A's, team talks and a whole host of interesting conversations about how we can harness tech for the good of our communities. Monzo independent bank has seen huge success and this meetup with harness their innovative ideas about a digital-led future. 

Craft 09: Doing at LEAF, Manchester

Thursday 23rd
Another fantastic event this month, looking at the process and journeys behind three Manchester based creatives. Focusing on the passion behind it all and re-telling some of the stranger stories along the way. Bringing together Dan Hett, Emma Reynolds and Jordan Yates to celebrate what it means to create!
