The job in a nutshell 
Success in this role is based on delivering management accounts – providing commercial insights and advice to positively impact the company and its people.

You will foster and drive a culture of continuous improvement in our finance function. Working closely with the MD to provide the directors, the leadership team and the wider business with commercial clarity through robust financial information and insight.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Management reporting. Actively manage Xero to prepare monthly management accounts.
  • Providing regular financial reports to senior management, highlighting KPIs, insights and challenging the leadership team to ensure the business meets EBITDA targets
  • Month-end and year-end close. Oversees closing processes, ensuring all accounts are reconciled and accurately reported.
  • Forecasting. Develop projections and models for revenue, expenses, and profitability to aid decision-making.
  • Cost control. Monitors expenses, identifies cost-saving opportunities, and implements measures to improve efficiency.
  • Ledger management, cost control, expenses, reconciliation, payroll

Who will this job suit?

You’ll have experience as a Finance Manager, Financial Controller, or similar, more than likely in a similar professional services business.

Yes, you’re organised, more than likely qualified and you have bags of technical expertise. But you also have strong commercial acumen and want to make an impact.
