Joining this exciting digital health platform as a Freelance Design Operations Lead, you’ll be focusing on operational efficiency and design excellence. This is a 6-month contract with the potential to extend, and we’re looking for people who can work in a hybrid style, onsite in London for 2-3 days each week.
This role is crucial for scaling design excellence and operational efficiency across the product teams, including managing design systems, coordinating initiatives, and driving operational clarity.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
– Operational leadership: Owning the design operations strategy and optimising workflows for design delivery
– Design system & tooling: Maintaining and evolving the company’s design systems and driving standardisation in design tools
– Cross-functional collaboration: Acting as a bridge between the brand and design and the product engineering team to optimise the design process from discovery to delivery
– Quality & efficiency: Tracking design team performance and ensuring quality across all outputs
– Financial & vendor management: Managing budgets, licenses, and vendor relationships

What We’re Looking For
We want to speak to experienced Design Operations experts with solid backgrounds working across design operations, product design and program management, ideally within a tech environment.
Proven experience scaling design operations across multi-brand teams is key here, as is a strong understanding of UX and product design principles, and proficiency with design collaboration tools like Figma and Jira.
We need someone who has confidence managing senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams, a collaborative worker who is just as able to drive projects and day-to-day responsibilities independently, too.
