May is set to be a good one with an exciting mix of talks, workshops, and even a pub quiz designed for us creatives to get involved in.

Leeds International Festival at venues across Leeds

Thursday 2nd to Sunday 12th of May
Leeds International Festival returns to a new home at The Tetley. The Village will host a range of talks and panels with a host of speakers including poet John Cooper Clarke, author Matt Haig and Buddhist monk Gelong Thubten to name just a handful. There are also lots of events being held in other locations throughout the city so do check them out.

Glug Bradford at Assembly Bradford

Wednesday 1st May
Glug is back in Bradford with its second installment with a focus on placemaking. As the speakers give talks reflecting on the theme, it will be a great opportunity to get together and share thoughts on placemaking within the community whilst travelling on a vintage bus, very suave.

Drink and Draw at The Tetley

Wednesday 1st May
A chance to dust off your drawing skills, with a friendly tutor guiding you through still life drawing using various techniques - with a pencil in one hand and a drink in another.

Northernlands Data and Startup summit at ODI

Thursday 2nd May
This one day summit will be delving into innovation data and what we can all gain from it. The event will be made up of a series of talks from data pros, hands on demonstrations and workshops to get yourself involved in. And to top it off the Startup Cafe will be on hand to give advice on startup cultures and sharing success stories.

Leeds Digital Coffee Morning at Natwest Accelerator HUB

Friday 3rd May
Kicking off at 8:30am where you can enjoy a coffee and a pastry as you network and then work together on a quick fire project. With a lot to learn and coffee to be drank this is a great opportunity to understand the creation of an app.

Casually Networking: Creative Pub Quiz (in Support of Leeds Mind) at The Adelphi

Wednesday 15th May
A super fun creative quiz that supports Leeds Mind? Sounds like a hoot. With rounds ranging from sculpture, to coming up with the best idea for a new TV show, and not forgetting the all important raffle, this pub quiz sounds right up our street.

Challenge Night 2019 at Leeds Town Hall

Tuesday 21st May
A personal development event where you’ll learn tools and strategies to help you excel in both your career and personal life. With TED-style talks from industry experts in marketing, business, finance, and technology. The aim of this event is to help boost confidence and positivity.
